Inspectors in Georgia

Inspectors and Code Officials who invest time into what they do, carry with them an increased level of confidence and care in their work. From Charlton to Rabun and all counties in between, let’s build a better Georgia by building better inspectors.

The Georgia State Inspector’s Association was founded in 1964 as the Plumbing, Gas, and Mechanical inspectors of Georgia. The general objective of the organization is to promote building codes that are essential to the health and safety of the citizens of Georgia and to lend every possible aid to the advancement of building safety throughout the state. We continue to work with state and local jurisdictions and strive for a better understanding of the Codes through certifications, education, and training.

Message from the Executive Director:

Greetings to out members and friends. With so many of our schedules being in limbo regarding travel and education this year, GSIA is postponing the annual conference until next year. Since so many of us are in need of training and credits, we are going to proceed with a virtual "tele-meeting" this year on September 13 – 15th.

We plan on the usual updates from the ICC and DCA as well as anything that is of concern to those in the field. Our agenda is being discussed and finalized at this time, but we would like to include items that you see as needed or pressing.

Please take a moment and send us your thoughts on how you would like your classes to be run.

Thanks,

Lonnie Abercrombie
